Elect

Patricia Cameron

Regional Council Member TNO

Experienced. Connected. Committed. Through my work on the Regional Executive and in EDMP, I’ve supported members in real, complex situations—advocating for safe care, strong workplaces, and meaningful support when it matters most. I’m running to bring accountable leadership, strong communication, and real advocacy to our region.

Genuine Leadership

A proud RPN with 18 years of progressive union leadership. Originally a UPN steward starting in 2008, I went on to serve as Chairperson of UPN Local 1 (2010–2015), leading grievance resolution and member advocacy. I then served BCNU as Communications Secretary (2015–2017), OHS Representative (2017–2020), PR Advocate (2021), and Enhanced Disability Management Representative (2021–present). This experience spans contract negotiations, workplace legislation, financial stewardship, and advocacy for members navigating the pressures nurses face today.

As your RCM, I will amplify your voice, recognize the pressures in today’s healthcare climate, ensure transparency in regional operations, and stand with you in fighting for the conditions and respect you deserve.

Committed to Building a Strong Regional Executive

As Regional Council Member, I am committed to building a strong, collaborative Regional Executive Team. Each role—whether Communications, Steward Liaison, PRA, OH&S, Treasurer, Mental Health, Lobbyist, or Chair—plays a critical part in supporting members and advancing our region’s priorities.

Having served in multiple executive roles, I understand both the responsibilities and the pressures of these positions. I am committed to fostering a team environment where members feel supported, communication is clear, and each role is empowered to succeed.

My Commitment to Members

  • The foundation of trusted leadership

  • Taking responsibility and following through

  • Being accessible, timely, and present for members

  • Showing up with care and respect

“It’s truly a privilege to endorse Patricia Cameron for the position of Regional Council Member with BCNU.

I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Patricia for the past 17 years, and in that time I’ve come to know not just her strong work ethic, but also the genuine care she brings to everything she does. She has always been deeply committed to advocating for members and to strengthening our profession in meaningful, lasting ways.

Patricia began her BCNU journey as a UPN steward and went on to serve as Chairperson of UPN Local 1, where she supported members through grievances and advocacy work with both skill and compassion. She later took on roles as Communications Secretary and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Representative, and has served as an Enhanced Disability Management Representative. Through these experiences, she has developed a strong understanding of contract interpretation, workplace legislation, and the complexities of supporting members in a variety of situations.

What I appreciate most about Patricia is the way she approaches her work—with thoughtfulness, integrity, and a real sense of responsibility to the people she represents. She listens carefully, is insightful and considers issues from all angles, and works collaboratively to find fair and practical solutions. Whether she’s addressing workplace safety concerns or supporting someone through a difficult return-to-work process, she shows up with professionalism and genuine care.

Patricia is approachable, very skilled and knowledgeable, and someone you can count on. She builds trust easily and follows through, which makes a real difference to the members she supports.

I wholeheartedly encourage members of BCNU to support Patricia Cameron in this election. I am confident she will be a dedicated, compassionate, and effective voice for our region.

Sincerely,
Stacey Greenidge, MA, RPN
